PGP Desktop Products version 8.1 are the final versions for this product line. Upgrade will be to PGP Desktop Email 9.x - the precise version number available at the time of your upgrade. There are no planned updates to PGP Desktop 8.1 products.

PGP Desktop 8.1 is a legacy product. The current version of PGP Desktop Email, includes the following features not found in version 8.1:

- Optional central management via PGP Universal Server
